As a teaching artist she has developed, planned and taught arts education curriculum for Theater For A New Audience, Classic Stage Company, Classical Theater of Harlem, and Story Pirates, and has worked in over 2 dozen NYC schools across four boroughs. Kea is Director of Development for The Apocalyptic Artists Ensemble, an education-minded theater company that she co-founded, which provides completely free theater workshops and programming to participating NYC public schools. As a theater maker, Kea seeks to create a community experience through story that gives the audience a direct line of communication to their humanity, and an opportunity to think about the world, and others and themselves in the world, through diverse perspectives. As a teacher, Kea seeks to invite and inspire young minds to think like an artist—a universally vital skill. She holds an MFA in Acting from Columbia University and a BA in Dramatic Literature and Creative Writing from NYU.
